Francesca Ashbee-Brown
Psychotherapist
Hello and welcome. I am an integrative therapist, working in person in East London as well as online. I offer a confidential, collaborative, and safe therapeutic space where you can explore your experiences.
About Me
My clinical experience includes working at the Royal College of Music and in private practice in East London, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and with varied needs. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and I’m a registered member of the BACP.
I offer a confidential, collaborative, and safe therapeutic space where you can explore your experiences. I see psychotherapy as a relational and collaborative process.
For me, psychotherapy is like a prism — shifting the lens reveals new colours, meanings, and possibilities. I listen openly and without judgement, taking care to understand your experiences with curiosity. From time to time, I may share reflections or perspectives that might help you view things in a new light.

My Approach
Integrative Psychotherapy
My training has been integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques. My practice draws on psychodynamic, existential, and humanistic principles, allowing me to adapt my approach to the unique needs of each individual. This allows me to work in a way that is tailored to your individual needs, rather than fitting you into one rigid framework.
My approach is collaborative and non-judgemental, always centring your unique perspective and lived experience. I am genuinely curious about how you see and relate to the world, and I see therapy as a space for us to reflect on this together.
I also work relationally, which means we pay attention to what unfolds between us in the therapy room. This can offer valuable insight into how early relationships have shaped you and how those patterns might still be influencing your current relationships.
Areas I Work With
Psychotherapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore concerns that may feel difficult to share with others. It creates a pause from the demands of daily life — a moment to reflect, process, and reconnect with yourself. Through this journey, we can deepen self-awareness, open up new perspectives, and make choices that support a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

What to expect
Sessions
Therapy sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes. My fee is £60 per session.
Your first session
Our first meeting is a chance to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the process. Most importantly, it allows both of us to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.
Ongoing sessions
Sessions unfold as a conversation in a safe, confidential space. You are welcome to bring whatever feels most present or important. My role is to support you in exploring, understanding, and navigating what you are going through.
Length of therapy
I offer both short-term therapy (6–12 sessions) and open-ended work, depending on your needs. Together, we can decide what feels most supportive for you.
Languages
I offer therapy in both English and French.
Ethical Practice
I work conscientiously within the BACP Ethical Framework, committed to upholding the highest standards of care, integrity, and professionalism in every aspect of my practice.
